Calbee "Kata-Age Potato: The Long-Awaited Savory Garlic Flavor"

Calbee will release "Kata-Age Potato - Waiting for the Long-Awaited Savory Garlic Flavor" at convenience stores first on February 7. It will go on sale on February 14 outside of convenience stores.

Kataage Potato Waitomo no Koubashi no Garlic Flavor

Many people enjoy eating Kataage Potato as an accompaniment to alcoholic beverages, so we developed this product in collaboration with Sapporo Beer. After about six months of development by the master of Calbee's hard fried potatoes and the master of Sapporo Beer, the "savory garlic flavor" was released in November 2019. Due to its popularity, it was re-released in November 2020 and was well received.

In a survey conducted in June 2021, members of the "Kata-Age Potato Support Club" voted that the product was "a flavor that they would like to have as an accompaniment to drinking at home. In a survey conducted in June 2021, the members of the "Kataage Potato Support Club" ranked it first in the category of "Flavor I would like to accompany home drinking & rdquo;" and "Flavor I would like to eat as a reward," making it a product that can be enjoyed as a rewarding snack.

The number of requests for resale and standardization received by Calbee's Customer Support Center from October 2020 to March 2021 ranked first in the potato chips category and third overall.

Potato chips with a moderate saltiness and a savory garlic aroma and flavor that can be enjoyed as you bite into them. The addition of red chili pepper as a secret ingredient gives it a refreshing aftertaste.
