Calbee "Potato Chips Consomme Punch"

Calbee's long-selling product "Potato Chips Consomme Punch" will be renewed on November 1st. Sizes other than 60g (2.12oz) will be switched over the counter from the end of October.

Potato Chips Consomme Punch

"Potato Chips Consomme Punch" appeared in 1978 as the third flavor of Calbee Potato Chips after "Light taste" and "Norishio". The product name is derived from the buzzword "Punchy" at the time, and was named after the desire to launch a new product that left a strong impression on us.

So far, the taste has been improved 10 times to meet the needs of the times and consumers, and the packaging has been changed frequently. Under these circumstances, there was a voice saying that the taste was getting lighter, and I thought that the biggest feature was that the sharp and punchy taste was getting weaker, and it was the first time in 6 years since October 2015. The contents have been renewed. In order to return to the punchy taste, by applying beef with reference to the taste at the time of its release in 1978, the taste became more delicious and timeless.

Consomme powder with condensed meat and vegetable flavors and secret spices are used. The secret flavor of plum powder is added to create a rich flavor that won't stop once you eat it.

The package follows the previous design, but the background color has been changed to a vibrant and bright color that is typical of "Consomme Punch". By including "punch-up" as a catch phrase, we are promoting the features of the renewal.
