"Belgium Fair" will be held at Imperial Hotel Tokyo. From November 1st to December 25th, food and drinks made with Belgian ingredients such as chocolate and beer will be on sale. Sponsored by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Japan.

Since the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, the Imperial Hotel has held more than 100 food festivals to introduce food from various countries since 1965. In 2021, which marks the 155th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Kingdom of Belgium, the Belgian Fair will be held for the first time in 32 years since 1989.

"Afternoon Tea ~ Marche de Noel 2021 ~" will be handled at "Imperial Lounge Aqua" on the 17th floor of the main building. The selling price is 7,150 yen (including consumption tax, service charge not included, same below).

At Christmas markets held in various parts of Belgium in winter, it is imagined that glittering trees and mountain lodge-style stalls "chalets" are lined up in a cobblestone square.

The Belgian iconic sweet "Liège Waffle" is baked in the chalet inside the store, and you can enjoy it freshly. You can enjoy it with "Liège syrup", which originated in Belgium and is made by boiling apples, pears and dates.

In the upper part of the set, the stone pavement of Belgium's world heritage "Grand Plus" is imaged, and sweets arranged in a square design are lined up. Rich mousse "ROI" supervised by chef Chocolatier Yukio Ichikawa, traditional Belgian confectionery using meringue and creme chantilly, ruby chocolate "Merveille", square bitter chocolate "Kare" with modest sweetness・ Chocolate ”, a“ plain mousse ”with curry chocolate on a warm square baked mousse.

The middle tier is brilliantly finished with the glittering illuminations of Belgian regional cuisine. "Liège Bure", a local dish of the Waron region in southern Belgium where meat balls are simmered with Liege syrup and onions, and "Belgian-colored sandwich chicken / cheese / tomato" made from bread kneaded with tomatoes, bamboo charcoal and carrots. "In the image of a cream croquette illumination of seafood with Omar shrimp," which is associated with a dish using small shrimp that is popular along the coast of northern Belgium.

In the lower row, the representative Belgian cuisine "Mur & Fritz" is finished in one plate. "Steamed mussels with white wine and saffron-flavored soup" and "◇ Belgian fries with Thousand Island dressing" are served.

"ROI" will be sold separately at the "Rendezvous Lounge" on the 1st floor of the main building from December 1st to 25th. The selling price is 3,000 yen.

A rich chocolate mousse made with Belgian chocolate supervised by chef Chocolatier Yukio Ichikawa. The design is like melting round truffle chocolate, and the crown is decorated after the Kingdom of Belgium.

"Whisky Chocolat Cocktail" is a cup of liqueur from the famous chocolate boutique "GODIVA" in Belgium, shaken with whiskey, espresso and fresh cream. The selling price is 2,200 yen with alcohol.

"Chocolat Maison" is a mocktail that means "chocolate house" in French. A chocolate drink with a smooth texture and low sweetness, the acidity of strawberries and the sweetness of the hotel's special cream are well matched. 1,980 yen for non-alcoholic drinks.

Reese tart

"Reese Tart" will be available from December 18th to 25th at "Parkside Diner" on the 1st floor of the main building. The selling price is 1,850 yen.

A Belgian chocolate tart decorated with a Belgian-colored sauce and resembling a wreath. The chocolate and cream base is accented with praline and framboise jam. You can also enjoy it at Christmas lunch and dinner courses.

Eight Belgian beers are served in the on-site restaurant and lounge. Each beer is handled in a special glass with a brand logo and a coaster of different types every month. When you order beer, a stamp card will be issued and one stamp will be stamped for each beer. If you collect 4 stamps, you can receive a limited number of gifts.

It is 4.5 meters long. It will be exhibited from November 23rd to December 25th.
