Ootoya will sell "Unaju (eel)" set meals made with domestically produced eels and other special eel set meals for Doyou-no-Ushi (the day of the ox). The lineup includes "Unaju (eel from Miyazaki Prefecture)," "Unatoro-Don Set Meal," "Yanagawa Eel in Earthen Pot," and "Chirashi-jyu Set Meal with Eel and Summer Vegetables.

Ootoya: Eels from Miyazaki Prefecture for the Ox Day

Ootoya will sell "Miyazaki Prefecture-grown Eel" Unaju (eel), Eel Toro-don set meal, Eel in Yanagawa earthenware pot set meal, and Chirashi-jyu set meal with eel and summer vegetables from July 21 to August 4, 2012.

Unaju

From July 28, "Doyo no Ushi no Hi" (day of the Ox in the Doyo season), unaju made of domestic eel will be available in limited quantities and at a special price. The "Unaju" is a plump and thick "Unaju" made with eels from Miyazaki Prefecture. Comes with miso soup, pickles, and sansho (Japanese pepper). Limited to the first 10,000 orders, priced at 1,980 yen (tax included, same below).

Unatoro-don set meal

A set meal of richly flavored eel served with grated yam. The rich flavor of the eel and grated yam makes this bowl of rice an appetizing and special stamina dish. The price is 1,480 yen.

Eel in Yanagawa earthenware pot set meal

The delicious flavor of gobo (burdock root), egg with dashi broth, and the savory aroma of eel are a perfect match. It warms up your body after a long day in the air conditioner. The price is 1,280 yen.
