Lawson Store 100 has developed an original product of the hotly-talked-about sweet "Maritozzo". It will be on sale from June 9th as "Maritozzo (whipped cream with chocolate)". The price is 108 yen (tax included).

"Maritozzo" is a traditional Italian-Roman dessert with cream sandwiched in brioche dough bread using butter and milk. Locally, it is also popular as breakfast with drinks such as cappuccino. It is a sweet that has begun to be sold at bakery stores in Japan and is becoming more popular especially among women in 2021.


Lawson Store 100's original sweet "Maritozzo (whipped with chocolate)" is a slightly butter-flavored brioche bread sandwiched with a light whipped cream with shavings. Light whipped cream with shavings in a perfect balance. Contrary to its apparent volume, the cream has a light taste and you can eat it until the last bite without getting tired. Since it is a dessert that requires cold, not bread, it will be sold in a cold case (dessert section).
