The "Super Sweets Series" is a cake that everyone loves sublimated with "the best ingredients" and "hotel skills". To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the hotel's opening in 2014, the "Extra Super Series" was born as a cake that goes beyond such ultimate sweets.

・ New Extra Super Melon Shortcake
The most popular "New Extra Super Melon Shortcake" is the "highest peak cake" of 4,000 yen per piece, which has sold more than 40,000 units. This is the third evolution.


"Soy milk cream" is used as a new ingredient that is delicious, healthy, and reduces the burden on the environment. The light cream derived from plants enhances the delicate and fresh taste of melon more than ever, and the gentle and moderate sweetness of "soy milk white ganache" that is hidden in each layer is an accent.


Eggs are "brown rice eggs" produced from chickens raised on brown rice feed. The pure white dough baked with "brown rice egg" does not interfere with the taste of melon and is finished in a light and firm taste. The newly added "soy milk cream" fosters a sense of unity.


Melon is a melon produced in Shizuoka prefecture that has strict evaluation criteria based on its shape, sugar content, size, and mesh tension, and is divided into four grades: "Mt. Fuji, mountain, white, and snow." At Hotel New Otani, only melons of the highest grade "mountain" or higher are used. The supreme melon, which is condensed with nutrients and boasts a sugar content of 14 degrees or more, is luxuriously used in about 1/3 per piece.
