Tops "Matcha Cake" Seasonal

Tops will release a new product, "Matcha Cake," which will be available seasonally only from April 16.

Tops, whose signature product is "Chocolate Cake" consisting of three layers of sponge sandwiched between chocolate cream with walnuts, will introduce a new seasonal product, "Matcha Cake". It will be sold at all Tops stores nationwide, with some exceptions.

Tops Seasonal Green Tea Cake

The "Matcha Cake" is made with cream using Kyoto-produced Uji matcha, which is characterized by its fresh aroma with little astringency, and grains of sweet bean paste from Tokachi, Hokkaido, sandwiched between sponge cake made with Japanese brown sugar for a mildly sweet taste. The decoration is also covered with a generous amount of matcha cream and decorated with Uji matcha powder and gold leaf.

The gold leaf on top of the vivid green color represents the sunlight peeking through the fresh green leaves. It is a refreshing item that is perfect for the current season.

Each unit weighs approximately 230 grams and is priced at 1,080 yen (tax included). The product requires refrigeration.
