The plums are hand-picked shortly before they are fully ripe and shipped refrigerated within 36 hours of harvesting. It may change depending on the weather and the growing conditions of plums.

Purple Nanko Ume from Wakayama Prefecture

"Purple Nanko Ume (1-2L size) from Wakayama Prefecture" is a red-purple colored plum that is also called Shinan Koume, and is characterized by a fruitier and richer scent than Nanko Ume. If you use plum wine or syrup, it will be slightly red. The true color of red is "anthocyanin" which is also contained in blueberries and grapes. It may change depending on the weather and the growing conditions of plums.

Purple Queen from Wakayama Prefecture

"Purple Queen from Wakayama Prefecture" is a rare red small plum that is rarely sold in the market due to its low yield. When made into plum wine or syrup, it will be finished in a transparent pink color. Choya recommends using it for making syrup because it tends to lose its color. The finished syrup can be enjoyed with a sweet and sour cherry-like taste.
