Funabashiya Koyomi "Sakura no Shiruko"

"Sakura no Oshiruko" will be released on March 2nd from all Funabashiya Koyomi stores and some Funabashiya stores. A luxurious spring-only shiruko. The price is 500 yen (excluding tax). The sale period is until March 31st.

・ "Sakura" is now available for the March season. "Sakura no Shiruko" is a spring-only product that uses fragrant cherry bean paste. The lower layer is Funabashiya's homemade red bean shiruko. Using red beans from Hokkaido, the craftsmen carefully cook them. In addition, it contains 6 sticky white ball dumplings and has a voluminous feel, making it a perfect snack when you are hungry.

You can eat it as it is, but if you boil the white balls quickly, you can enjoy a more chewy texture. It is recommended to eat with plenty of Funabashiya's special red beans and sakura bean paste.

・ What is "Funabashiya"?
A Kanto-style Kuzumochi restaurant that was founded in the Edo period in 1805 and celebrated its 216th anniversary in 2021. Funabashiya's Kuzumochi is a fermented food made by lactic acid fermentation of "wheat starch" for 450 days and steaming it. Because it is lactic acid fermented for a long time, it produces a unique texture and elasticity.
