with Honey Butter KinpiraIngredients
200g (7.05oz) sweet potato2 tsp salad oil
1 tbsp each honey, mirin, sake, water
1 tsp soy sauce
10g (0.35oz) butter
Directions
Mix honey, mirin, sake, water and soy sauce in a container to make sauce.Cut sweet potatoes into small pieces about 5 mm cubes.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan and fry sweet potatoes over low heat. Butter tends to burn easily, so fry only with salad oil at first.
When the sweet potatoes change color, pour the sauce over the sweet potatoes and drop in the butter. Stir-fry over low heat. Be careful not to burn.
When it is cooked down, it is done. Sprinkle sesame seeds and black pepper to taste.
How does it taste?
The texture is moist and crispy. The crunchy texture of the thinly sliced kinpira is also enjoyable! The sweet, slightly salty taste combined with the mild richness of butter is a taste that will keep your chopsticks going. Sprinkling sesame seeds on top makes it more like a savory college sweet potato, while sprinkling black pepper on top makes it more like a tangy snack. Adjust the amount of seasoning to consume a little extra sweet potato.
