"Dogu Anpan" is an original bread made by a bakery bakery at Hotel Bakery through trial and error. We are particular about the ingredients and use bread dough containing whole wheat flour from Hokkaido to give it a chewy texture, and walnuts and astringent chestnuts are wrapped in Ogura bean paste to add texture and aroma. In addition, chestnuts with astringent skin are used to express the mouth of a hollow clay figurine.

The motif "hollow clay figurine" was discovered in 1975 (Showa 50) by the townspeople who are farming in the former Minamikayabe Town (currently Hakodate City), which is about 45 minutes by car from the hotel. It is estimated that it was made in the late Jomon period about 3,500 years ago, and the inside is hollow, the whole body is thin and elaborately made from the head to the legs, and the pattern composition is also excellent. It was designated as an important cultural property in 1979 and a national treasure in 2007, and is still the only national treasure in Hokkaido.
