Ice cream you can buy at convenience stores

"Goo Ranking", one of the largest ranking information sites in Japan that ranks all "things" in the world, has many people "one" with the theme of low-priced ice cream sold at the frozen dessert corner of supermarkets and convenience stores. We researched and ranked which products we thought were the most delicious!

3rd place: Meiji Essel Super Cup Series
The third place was the Meiji Essel Super Cup Series, which was launched in 1994. The series consists of three core flavors, which are the first "Meiji Essel Super Cup Super Vanilla", with matcha and chocolate cookies added, and four season flavors that are developed according to the season and trends. It was developed with the aim of being an "ice cream that is delicious and can be eaten at a reasonable price," and is characterized by a low price of 140 yen (excluding tax, the same applies below) but a volume of 200 ml.

2nd place: Gari-gari-kun series
The "Gari-Gari-kun Series", which followed in second place, is a stick-type low-priced ice cream that Akagi Nyugyo started selling in 1981. The product development was triggered by the desire to allow children to eat the cup-type shaved ice "Akagi Shigure," which was a hit in the late 1960s, with one hand while playing. In order to solve the problem that the shaved ice that occurred at the beginning of development is easy to come off from the stick, it seems that it has become a style of coating with the current ice lolly.

In 1991, the price was raised from the initial price of 50 yen to 60 yen, but the easy-to-buy price of 100 yen is still nice.

1st place: Giant corn series
The first place was Ezaki Glico's long-selling product "Giant Cone Series," which was launched in 1963 under the name "Glico Cone." The series changed its name to "Giant Cone" in 1966 and has been loved for over 50 years. It seems to be popular that you can enjoy many ingredients at a low price by adding toppings based on chocolate, ice cream, and cones.

The product has been renewed many times over the long history, but in March 2020, a "happy chocolate pool" was added to the tip of the cone to enjoy the last bite. Only one month after the renewal, more than 10 million bottles were sold.
