Calbee supports the development of local food culture, energizes the region, and energizes the whole of Japan by introducing famous products and tastes known to those in the know in each region of 47 prefectures through sweets. We launched the "Love Japan" project with the aim of making it a reality, and since fiscal 2017 we have been selling potato chips that reproduce the local flavors of each of the 47 prefectures in limited quantities and for a limited time.

The Oita flavor "Kappa Ebisen Soy Sauce Kabosu Flavor", which will be released as the first product in 2020, was released in January 2019 as "Potato Chips Soy Sauce Kabosu Flavor" and was well received. A flavor with a hint of soy sauce added to the mild acidity of Kabosu (produced in Oita Prefecture). The taste familiar to Oita citizens who squeeze the kabosu into soy sauce enhances the flavor of shrimp and arouses the appetite.
