MUJI Ganeper

MUJI will release a new retort curry product, "Curry Gemper (Forest Curry) that makes the best use of materials". Available at stores and online stores nationwide from June 10th.

Gaeng pa (forest curry)

Gaeng Pa is a dish from the northeastern part of Thailand (Isan region), which is said to be the prototype of Thai curry. It is called "forest curry" because it uses abundant mountain products. "Gane" means "curry" and "par" means "forest".

This northeastern part of Thailand is a forest area. Originally it was an area where coconut palm could not be taken, so unlike the standard Thai curry such as green, red and yellow, coconut milk is not used. It has the characteristics of Thai curry such as the spiciness of chili peppers, the refreshing feeling of herbs, and the spicy scent.

MUJI's Gemper uses chicken, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, young corn, and green beans. The spices and herbs used are krachai, kaffir lime leaves, sweet basil, and lemongrass. It will be 49 items of the retort curry series.
