"Cricket Dark Ale" for a limited time

"Cricket Dark Ale" jointly developed by "ANTCICADA", which is known for its cricket ramen, and "Tono Brewing" in Tono City, Iwate Prefecture, is at Shibuya Parco "COMING SOON". It will be on sale for a limited time from March 15th. The sale period is until March 18th.

"Cricket Dark Ale" is a beer (dark ale) manufactured using carefully selected domestic crickets. Carefully roasted crickets and roasted malt are added to the wort to bring out the aroma and umami of the crickets.

Aromas such as coffee, cacao, and chamomile precede it, and when it is in the mouth, it has a long finish with bitterness and richness, caramel aroma, and umami. The fragrant aroma of beer and the mild bitterness go well with bitter chocolate, coffee nuts and dried fruits. In particular, it goes well with dishes made with Mexican smoked chili pepper "Chipotle".

The raw material is Gryllus bimaculatus from "Taiyo Green Energy Co., Ltd." Crickets are cultivated at a farm in Fukushima prefecture in an optimal environment with strict room temperature and humidity control, feeding on vegetables produced by the loss of company food. Even after harvesting, it is safe and secure because it is carefully washed and heat-treated.
