Moheji "Mikan An Donut"

I tried the winter sweets "[Moheji] Mikan An Donuts" from KALDI Coffee Farm. Although it has a refreshing citrus flavor, it is characterized by a thick bean paste that feels soft on the tongue.

It is a Japanese-style ingredient "Moheji" brand sweets that you often see in KALDI stores. The package has a cow, not the goat that KALDI is familiar with. It seems to appeal that Shinshu milk is kneaded into the dough. It has appeared since the new year of 2020. The price is 354 yen (tax included) per bag and the calories are 86 kcal per bag.

It is individually wrapped

A round donut with a soft mouthfeel that is made by wrapping bean paste containing the juice of Satsuma mandarin in a dough containing milk. The dough fried in oil is not so moist, but rather has a refreshing texture. I want coffee and milk together.

The bean paste has a bright orange color and a heavy texture, but the scent is the ripe mandarin oranges that are often eaten in winter, and it seems to slip through your nose. It refreshes the flavor of the whole donut.

Even so, it is certain that if you pinch one, you will be quite hungry, and as a snack, eating one is enough to satisfy you. You can tear it by hand or insert a knife and carry it in half to your mouth.
