At the set meal restaurant "Yayoiken", a new menu "Sichuan Mapo Tofu and Karaage Set Meal" will be on sale from January 7th. For Mapo tofu fans, hot spices are included to adjust to the "ideal spiciness".
The price is 890 yen (tax included). It is a set of rice with both mapo tofu and fried chicken.
Mapo tofu is seasoned with spices such as octagonal and Chinese pepper (a type of hoajao and sansho), and a lot of umami, which is indispensable for Sichuan cuisine soaked in miso and soy sauce. It is said that tofu is added to make it rich and deeply spicy. It comes in a clay pot so you can eat it hot.
In addition, "Sichuan pepper" and "Chili oil" are included in the attachment. Sichuan cuisine is known for combining two types of pungent flavors with different characteristics. "Marway", which has a tingling tongue such as Chinese pepper, and "Raway", which has a tingling tongue such as red pepper. Balance is important. You can adjust it to your liking with Chinese pepper and chili oil.
The garnish is a menu where the rice goes along with the fried chicken.
