"Feast hamburger set meal" with fried pine and hamburger steak
Matsunoya's "Feast hamburger set meal". Size that seems to stick out of the pot

I tried Matsunoya's "Feast hamburger set meal", which was fried with bread crumbs on a large hamburger steak. The crispy batter, patties with plenty of gravy, and rich sauce are perfect as a side dish of rice. However, isn't this a "menchi-katsu"?

The price is 750 yen (tax included). You can choose from two types: a special "mushroom sauce" that uses French mushrooms, and a "grated sauce" that you can eat refreshingly.

This is a hamburger steak ... no menchi ...?

A lot of sliced mushrooms are piled up on a hamburger steak that seems to stick out of the iron pan, and brown sauce is hung on it.

The atmosphere is "stewed hamburger steak", but when you add a spoon, it feels crispy. The freshly fried batter is not yet soft and you can enjoy the texture.

Plenty of gravy

The hamburger steak is thick and large, with plenty of gravy trapped inside, and the umami of the mushrooms is highly satisfying when entwined with the rich sauce. The white rice that comes with it goes on and on. Raw vegetables are also included in the small bowl, so if you get used to the rich taste, it is recommended to reset it there.

The volume is enough for lunch and dinner. If you want to be on the safe side, we recommend that you skip one meal before trying.

By the way, this menu, Matsunoya itself, also introduces "Is it like a Menchi-katsu?", But it raises the difficult question of whether it is a "hamburger" or a "Menchi-katsu".

When it's completely wrapped in sauce and you can't see the batter, you can only think of it as a hamburger steak, but the smell of fresh frying oil that you feel when you bite it, the crispy texture, and then the flavor of onion and minced meat spreads in your mouth. It's just a minced meat cutlet. However, as you chew, the stewed hamburger becomes more comfortable to eat.

In the first place, is there a difference between hamburger steak and minced meat cutlet, whether it is roasted, boiled or fried? Should Menchi-katsu be renamed fried hamburger? Or should the hamburger be called a batterless minced meat cutlet? It was a taste that I couldn't answer until the end.
