Tokyo Chai specialty store "Cafe Mokusha Chai Nakameguro". It takes about 8 minutes to walk along the main street from Nakameguro Station, and is open only every Thursday in the Nakameguro Aroma Cafe (at the time of writing the article).


Moksha Chai, founded by parents and children with roots in Japan and India, is a new tea brand specializing in chai. Through the spice milk tea "Chai" that originated in India, it is being developed with the concept of proposing a new lifestyle to busy workers.

The menu includes original spice chai, craft chai soda and tapioca chai milk tea. There are also sweets such as baked donuts, pound cakes and scones. This time I ordered a set of chai with gelato and donuts. The price is 1,500 yen (tax included).


Spice Chai is a cup of Assam tea leaves blended with spices such as ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom and slowly boiled. At first glance, I was a little surprised at the complex flavor. The sweetness, bitterness, and sourness of spices come together. The powerful richness of Assam is wrapped in mellow milk, and finally the spices are fluffy again. It's so delicious that you won't get tired of it even if you drink plenty of it, and every time you eat it, your heart will relax. By the time you finish drinking hot, your body will be warm.


Grilled donuts use only domestic butter without oil and margarine. A moist mouthfeel that is different from fried donuts. You can enjoy it lightly while having a strong aroma and richness of butter.


Gelato with spices is fragrant and has a refreshing sweetness. It melts with the heat of the tongue and gives off a spicy flavor. When you eat it with donuts as a topping, each other's chai flavor is outstandingly delicious!
