The long-established omelet rice specialty store "Raquel Dining". There are stores in Tokyo, Kanto, Tokai, Kansai, etc. (at the time of writing the article).

This time I visited the Miyamasu-zaka store in Shibuya. About 5 minutes walk from Shibuya station, a showcase with omelet rice lined up outside the store welcomes you. Go down the stairs to the shop in the basement.


The interior of the store is inspired by the dining of a farmer in the Lake District of England. The red gingham checkered tablecloth, the warm wooden chairs, and the many photographs and flowers that decorate the walls create a fairy tale atmosphere. Even water bottles and sugar bowls are cute.


The menu has a rich lineup of original dishes "KUKU" with egg dishes, raquel bread, salad, and potatoes. Drinks and desserts are also available. This time, I ordered "KUKU Mochi Mochi Cheese Omurice" which is a long-selling product. The price is 1,015 yen (tax included).


The fluffy egg with mochi is wrapped in curry-flavored pilaf. Unwind in the mouth and spread the scent of spices. The rich demiglace sauce and cheese sauce are entwined there. The richness and spicy flavor of each are united and happy!


Not only the omelet rice, but also the garnished raquel bread. Bread, which has been developed over many years to best suit egg dishes, has a slightly sweet and fluffy mouthfeel. The original buttered spread applied between the cuts exudes in the mouth with Juwan. The clerk told me when the food was brought in, but the correct answer is to eat it while it is warm.



For the omelet and whole potatoes, add the extra sauce with omelet rice. The sweetness of Hokuhoku goes well with the rich sauce. While refreshing your mouth with dressed vegetables, you will be full by the time you finish eating.


When I entered the store right after it opened, I was alone in the store, but it became more and more crowded until noon, and it became full before I knew it. It was crowded with a wide range of customers, from office workers to couples, families, and foreigners. Raquel where you can taste the special omelet rice in a nice shop. I feel like I understand why many people continue to love me.
