"Honmachi Saryo" is a Japanese cafe that opened in 2014 on "Honmachi Dori" in Inuyama Castle Town. It is a renovation of a 100-year-old folk house, and features a digging-type counter made of solid single plate. The porch seats overlooking the courtyard are also popular.
The menu includes Inuyama's famous "Miso Dengaku set meal" and "Fluffy shaved ice" that looks like Kotori. By the way, even if I eat this shaved ice, my head doesn't get keen.
"Goldfish Jelly Soda", which is now on sale, is a new menu of "Honmachi Saryo". It's cool just by looking at it, and it's finished as a sweet that's perfect for summer. It consists of two types of jelly, blue syrup and lemon, and goldfish made from yokan, and the jelly and yokan are all handmade by the owner.
The price is 550 yen. Recommended for both sweets lovers and old folk house enthusiasts.
The location of Honmachi Saryo is in the middle of "Honmachi Dori", the main street of Inuyama Castle Town. It is about a 10-minute walk from Inuyama Station.
