I ate Matsuya's "Sichuan Mapo Tofu Set Meal to Eat with Eggs". Mapo tofu, which is filled in a large bowl, is like a spicy Chinese-style stew, and you can get plenty of meat and vegetables.
The price is 650 yen (tax included). You can choose either raw or soft-boiled eggs as toppings, but this time we will use raw eggs. There are four items in the tray brought to the table: mapo tofu, eggs, rice, miso soup, and salad.
Mapo tofu is full of volume because you can see it. Red and brown stew with minced meat, tofu and eggplant. Dropping a yellow egg makes it even more appetizing.
When you scoop it with a spoon and try the taste, not only spicy but also complex taste fills your tongue. According to the explanation of the menu, various seasonings such as Doubanjiang, Malajan, and Tianmian sauce are used, and the taste is a mixture of them. It's not too spicy to eat as it is, but if you crush the egg yolk and mix it, the mouthfeel will be mellow.
Although the name is Mapo tofu, the amount of tofu is about one-third of the total, and the meat is overwhelmingly conspicuous. Furthermore, the eggplant, which is so soft that it melts, has a presence comparable to that of tofu. It's fun to taste the eggplant and tofu alternately while eating minced meat with the spicy flavor of soy sauce with rice.
The taste of the food is strong and the rice goes on, so you may feel that the amount of rice is a little unsatisfactory at normal size. Depending on how hungry you are, it's not a bad idea to change to a large size.
