Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo "Emerald City Mule" "House Affogato"

"Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo" opened in Nakameguro, Tokyo in February of this year (2019). It is a popular shop with unique coffee, tea, food and goods.

Immediately after the opening, it was so crowded that it was not uncommon to wait for several hours, but it seems that it has calmed down a little. When I visited around 10 am on Sunday morning, I issued a numbered ticket for entering the store and put it in about 15 minutes (the ticket office is next to the roastery). It was more crowded when I returned after noon, so I wondered if I was aiming for an early morning time (the degree of congestion depends on the season).

The first floor is the main bar where you can see the process from raw beans to a cup of coffee. Enjoy a variety of beverages made with Starbucks Reserve coffee. Order 3 items from the attractive menu.

I was surprised to drink it with the image of usual coffee! It's very refreshing. Ginger ale stimulates the tongue and the scent of coffee is fluffy. Cinnamon gives a sweet accent.

A bite of the apples that were added on the way. The fresh sweetness bursts into your mouth, which is extremely refreshing. I feel like I've learned a new side of coffee.

House affogato

Affogato with a special ice cream specially made to go with coffee and Starbucks Reserve espresso. Demerara syrup and cinnamon are applied. The price is 850 yen.

Start with a smooth ice cream. The rich sweetness of syrup snuggles up to the deep richness. A bitter finish with the addition of sharp espresso. At the end, cinnamon is fluffy and leaves a gentle finish. A sweet and bitter adult cup.

I also bought "Krostata Fragora" (750 yen) along with Beverage. The lustrous top has a rugged flesh and a gorgeous taste with strawberry as the main character. The richness of custard cream wraps the juicy sweetness and sourness. Accented with crispy and fragrant tart dough.

This time, I enjoyed the beverage and food on the 1st floor, but there is a Teavana bar on the 2nd floor and an Alivia mobile on the 3rd floor, so there are still many menus to be worried about. Stay tuned for a report on Teavana Bar in the near future!
