"NONARA PEARL" is a tapioca drink shop where you can enjoy freshly made hot raw tapioca. Raw tapioca without preservatives, imported directly from Taiwan, is cooked many times a day in the store and served in a "hot" state.


The author visited the first store on the 2nd floor of Laforet Harajuku. The pink wall and the retro mascot character "Nonara-kun" are the landmarks. It was after noon on weekdays, but there was already a line in front of the store. I was able to purchase them side by side for about 15 minutes.

■ Tapioca is chewy!

I ordered two items, "Taiwan Roasted Oolong Milk Tea (Medium)" and "Black Milk Tea (Medium)" from Nonara Special. Raw tapioca can be topped for an additional 50 yen each. The price after topping is 500 yen and 470 yen (excluding tax).


It seems that you can customize the sweetness and amount of ice depending on the product, but since the clerk did not ask, it is recommended to check the menu carefully in advance when you want to customize. This time, I ordered without changing anything other than tapioca topping.

The cup I received has a warm bottom. Tapioca will harden over time, so the point is to take a sip and enjoy the warmth without stirring.
