Apple Tarte
Tatin Style Recipe
Ingredients
What you need. I used a recipe from the Co-op Pal System as a reference.1 apple
200g (7.05oz) pancake mix
1 egg
130ml (4.4us fl oz) milk
3 tablespoons sugar (divided into 2 portions)
20g (0.71oz) butter (divided into half portions)
You can also prepare your favorite jam in moderation, and top with it at the end.
Preparation
Mix pancake mix, eggs (beaten) and milk in a bowl. This will be the cake batter.Cut the apples into wedges about 5 mm to 1 cm wide and fry them in a frying pan with 10 g of butter. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar, cover and heat.
When the apples are wilted, remove them. Wipe the pan clean, melt the remaining butter, remove from heat, arrange the cut apples, and pour the batter over the top.
Cover and cook over very low heat. When cooked through, turn over using a plate or something and sprinkle the apples with 1 tablespoon of sugar and remove once to a plate.
Place the apples back in the pan, apple side down, and grill again. When they are moderately browned, place them on a plate and spread the top with your favorite jam!
Apple Tarte Tatin Style How does it taste?
The cake part is fluffy and glutinous. The apples are crunchy and melty. The fresh sweetness of the apples is balanced with the caramelized sweetness of the melted sugar in the butter. Rich and delicious! It takes a little longer to bake (about 30 minutes), but it can be a good snack for holidays or special occasions when you have time to spare! It's not for every day, but for holidays or special occasions when you have a little time to spare!
