At FamilyMart, 12 types of Setsubun menus such as "Ehomaki" will be on sale for the 2019 Setsubun day. We are accepting reservations until the end of January. The lineup includes meat-based Ehomaki and desserts.

6 types of ehomaki

There are 6 types of Ehomaki. First of all, the classic "Ehomaki" (420 yen, tax included, same below) is a dish packed with 7 kinds of ingredients. The omelet is fluffy and simmered with soup stock, and the thick juicy simmered shiitake mushrooms and the richly flavored Kanpyo are included.

"Seafood Ehomaki" (420 yen) uses two types of salmon, which are characterized by their texture and umami of fat, and tuna meat with a good texture.

"Kami Seafood Ehomaki" (898 yen) is a luxurious content wrapped with stick meat and loose meat of this snow crab, salmon roe from Sanriku, and roasted salmon and tuna seared meat.

As a meat-based ehomaki, there is "Angus beef yakiniku ehomaki" (598 yen). Angus beef is savoryly roasted over charcoal and combined with gochujang sauce.

"Hirekatsu Ehomaki" (398 yen) uses a sweet sauce that is perfect for pork cutlet, and is accented with spicy mustard.

"Salad Ehomaki" (298 yen) is characterized by its refreshing taste, with ingredients such as omelet, cucumber, shrimp, crab stick and tuna mayonnaise.

Looking at the Setsubun menu other than Ehomaki, "Setsubun Tortilla Beef Yakiniku" (390 yen) is a slightly Japanese-style menu with 7 items of ingredients such as beef yakiniku mixed with sweet and spicy sauce, colorful vegetables, and Kinshitamako. "Shrimp Tensoba" (498 yen) is a soup with a smooth soba and dashi scent. Shrimp tempura, 2 kamaboko, wakame seaweed and green onions are served.

Looking at the sweets, "Setsubun Chocolate Banana Crepe" (210 yen) is a dish of banana, custard, and whipped cream wrapped in a chewy crepe.

"Setsubun Fruit Omlet" (420 yen) is made from whipped cream containing yellow peach, strawberry, and Hokkaido cream, and made into an omlet with crepe and sponge.

"Setsubun Banana & Strawberry Roll" (398 yen) is made by wrapping banana, strawberry, and whipped cream with Hokkaido cream in a cocoa sponge.

"Swiss roll cake (with gyuhi)" (360 yen) is made by wrapping Ogura whipped cream and matcha cream with a sponge containing Uji matcha from Kyoto prefecture.
