VIRON French bread sandwich
Brunch in Viron

"VIRON" in Shibuya, Tokyo is a popular breakfast shop where you can line up. But lunch is also delicious. If you stop by the shop in the afternoon, you can relax and enjoy bread and cakes.

To Viron in the afternoon

VIRON storefront
It's a popular breakfast shop, but when you come in the afternoon, it may be vacant.

Viron is famous for selling French bread and cakes and restaurants. From Shibuya station, go straight on the right side of Bunkamura street. The red wall is a landmark. There are so many customers that it is difficult to enter the store in the morning, but it may be vacant in the afternoon.

Bread is on sale

If you buy even one cake on the sales floor on the 1st floor, you can sit in the restaurant on the 2nd floor and relax. If you're hungry, you can buy a French bread sandwich.

This time, I bought the sandwich "Pureroti" (778 yen, tax included, same below) and the cake "Bostock a la Pistache" (389 yen).

Drinks are ordered after going up to the restaurant floor on the 2nd floor. There are hot coffee "espresso" (410 yen) and iced coffee "cafe glasse" (680 yen). Cold water also comes out in the glass, so you can ask for hot water.

Can be cut

The sandwich Pule Roti is homemade roast chicken with mustard mayonnaise, carrot salad with carrot rape, and butter.

The appearance is reminiscent of my favorite Vietnamese sandwich "Vine Me", so I chose it. The chewy texture of French bread is quite strong when bitten. And the taste of butter, which is generously applied without hesitation, spreads in the mouth, and I feel a sinful taste.

Roast chicken is tender and mustard enhances the flavor but is not very assertive. Rather, I can clearly feel the crispy texture of carottes rape and the scent of carrots.

I use about half a baguette with thick skin, so I'm completely full after chewing it many times. Enough for lunch.

However, sweets are different. Bostock a la Pistache says that the brioche dough contains syrup with rum, framboise jam and pistache cream.

Contrary to its simple appearance, it is a complex candy. It comes with a knife and fork, so when you cut it out, you can see the reddish purple of raspberries under the green-dyed pistachio dough.

When you cut it and bring it to your mouth, it has a strong scent of Western liquor. The almond slices are crispy and the brioche is crispy. However, the smoky part of Pister Scream is moist, and when it reaches the Franboise part, it becomes a trolley. I'm surprised that one sweet is often packed with so many different textures.

The pistachio color is beautiful, but the taste is superior to raspberries, and it is as good as the sweet smell peculiar to lamb.

Even after I finished eating sandwiches and cakes, I had plenty of room around me, so I took a drink and relaxed for a while. I was able to spend a relaxing time like a lie in Shibuya.
