Vermeer's masterpiece "The Milkmaid" reproduced soup

At Soup Stock Tokyo, a soup that reproduces the masterpiece "The Milkmaid" by Dutch master Vermeer will be on sale from October 5th.

The product name is "Vermeer's" The Milkmaid "soup". It was planned for the "Vermeer Exhibition" to be held at the Ueno Royal Museum in Tokyo from October 5th. Inspired by the milkmaid, one of Vermeer's representative works on display, he created a soup that expresses soft and bright light and gives a calm and quiet atmosphere.

It is said that the everyday ingredients of the Netherlands, such as cheese, bread, and milk, which Vermeer drew masterpieces at that time, were made into soup to express the power of simple food. Like the margins on the walls in the work, I dared to use fewer ingredients and devised a way to enhance the taste of each ingredient.

Available for a limited time until November 2nd. The selling price is 630 yen (tax included) for regular size.
