Toms Sandwich" in Daikanyama

Toms Sandwich is a long-established sandwich store famous for being frequented by many celebrities. Founded in 1973, the store is located on the first floor of Hillside Terrace C, about a 5-minute walk from Daikanyama Station.


I arrived before the store opened, but there were already several customers outside. We waited while looking at the menu posted on the windowpane.


The restaurant opens a little later than scheduled. The restaurant, with sunlight streaming in through the large windows, has a relaxed atmosphere, and if available, you can choose any seat you like. I ordered a regular size BLT. The price was a whopping 2,500 yen (tax included)! The small size is also slightly expensive at 1,750 yen.

After a short wait, the sandwich was brought out to us, and it was quite a large one! Crispy bacon, crispy lettuce, and fresh tomatoes are used. The bread is thick and the ingredients are cut into large pieces, so it may be difficult to bite into the sandwich. We recommend using a knife and fork to cut it into pieces.



What surprised me was how good the bread tasted! The outside is crispy and savory, while the inside is fluffy and chewy. The bread looks quite large, but when you actually try it, you will find that it is surprisingly easy to eat.



"A special taste! Rather than a "special taste!", it is simple and familiar, with a flavor that anyone can easily enjoy. It is the kind of sandwich that makes you think "Oh, I want to eat that sandwich again" at a moment's notice.


I wondered if it was a restaurant for regular customers. However, Toms Sandwich seems to be a good place to enjoy a sandwich as a reward for yourself. Why don't you take a look when you drop by in Daikanyama?
