Yanagi Chaya Asakusa Shin-Nakamise Dori

Yanagi Chaya Asakusa Shin-Nakamise Dori, a Japanese-style cafe where customers can enjoy sweets and drinks using matcha green tea, will open on Shin-Nakamise Dori in Asakusa, Tokyo, on July 6, 2012.

The interior is bright and open, with a simple wood-grain-based design that evokes the warmth of nature. An open kitchen will serve sweet dishes and drinks made with matcha green tea from Kyoto's long-established Morihan.

The menu items of note include the Uji green tea tiramisu, which is served in a square, and the Uji green tea shiratama, which is made with sticky white rice balls handmade in the store. An original matcha drink in a PET bottle exclusively for To go is also available.


The store is located at 1-30-6 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo, and is open from 10:00 to 18:00.
