On the 1st floor of Yokohama No. 2 Joint Government Building, on the left side of the entrance, there is a retro coffee shop that anyone can use. Opening hours are from 7:00 to 18:00 on weekdays. You can eat sandwiches, spaghetti, curry, sweets, etc. in the store where light music is played.


The menu starts at 290 yen for toast, 360 yen for sandwiches, 450 yen for Napolitan with soup, 650 yen for ginger-grilled rice with soup, etc. Considering the market price around here, it's quite cheap! Still, the taste and volume are very satisfying, so it's a little-known coffee shop for breakfast and lunch refugees.

◆ Morning sandwich

This time I ordered the egg sandwich morning service. Two sandwiches, fruit (banana this time) and coffee or tea are set for 480 yen (tax included).


The bread is thick, but fluffy and moist, with a soft mouthfeel. It's not toasted, so it melts in your mouth, and when you chew it, it's the last type that has a chewy texture.


Inside, there are plenty of crispy lettuce and Hokuhoku egg salad. The texture of the white meat and the simple seasoning of salt and pepper are also exquisite, and the unpleasant taste makes you feel at home. I love these old-fashioned sandwiches.


Coffee is also authentic. It has a good balance of sourness and bitterness, and the aroma of roasting and the rich flavor of beans are inhaled to the fullest and fill your heart.


There are many menus from meals to desserts and drinks, so I think it's an oasis for people working nearby. It's nice to have a stylish cafe like a foreign country, but the time to be healed nostalgic in a retro coffee shop is also very luxurious.

It is open from 7 o'clock in the morning, but since the government building opens at 8 o'clock, you have to go through various procedures from the back door before that. It's a little troublesome, so I think it's best to go after the government building opens.
