This is so good...! I'd like to introduce you to a series of frozen cakes sold by Haruyuki Saburu, a food manufacturer in Hokkaido, that were, to put it mildly, the best I've ever tasted!
HARUSETSU SABURU
The main ingredient is dairy products from Hokkaido. Harusetsu Saburu offers a rich lineup of flavors such as Hokkaido Cheese Cake (Brulee), Hokkaido Rare Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Cheese Cake using these products. This time, I went to an OK Store in the Kanto area, and found Hokkaido Cheesecake (Brûlée), Gateau Chocolat, and Tiramisu. The purchase price was 599 yen each (tax not included).
Hokkaido Cheese Cake (Brulee)
This cheesecake is made with cream cheese from Hokkaido. The surface is charred and finished by hand. The bottom is a soft and fluffy sponge. The top layer of cheese dough is rich and dense. It melts smoothly and entwines with your tongue, filling your mouth with the richness of the creamy cheese.
It is not too sweet and the acidity of the cheese is not too strong, making it rich but with a refreshing aftertaste. The balance of flavors and textures is so well calculated that it is a cake of great perfection!
Gateau Chocolat
Baked with couverture chocolate, this chocolate-covered cake looks like a block of bricks. The cocoa sponge is layered with chocolate batter. The moment you put it in your mouth, the sponge disappears and the chocolate slowly melts with a cool touch. With just one bite, the bitterness of the cocoa and the intense aroma will spread.
The lingering taste of chocolate lingers until the end. It's just so rich and delicious that chocolate lovers will surely be satisfied!
Tiramisu
This tiramisu cake is a combination of two types of cheese: Hokkaido mascarpone and cream cheese. The top is sprinkled with plenty of cocoa powder. The mascarpone is soft, fluffy, and mildly rich, and the aroma of bitter cocoa and coffee adds a crisp finish. The rich, mellow mascarpone is enhanced by the aroma of bitter cocoa and coffee. The handmade taste may be due to the quality of the ingredients. This is an adult tiramisu that is rich yet refreshing with a hint of bitterness.
In summer, it is recommended to eat both cakes half thawed! When the center of the cake is still crispy and frozen, it is like a cool iced cake and can be enjoyed on a hot day. There is no harm in having some in your freezer for the coming season.
