7-ELEVEN Cafe Top 5 Baked Goods
No. 5 Matcha cookies with plenty of white chocolate chips
The aroma of matcha green tea is already coming into your mouth as soon as you put it in your mouth. The sweet and bitter taste of matcha is so luxurious! The milky sweetness of the chocolate chips is well balanced with the bitterness of the matcha.
No. 4 Rich, mouth-watering gateau chocolat
It's so rich! It melts stickily and slowly, and the moist bitterness and aroma of cacao spread out. It is so rich that it makes you crave for water. It goes well with a latte or black coffee. The package is also divided into two parts and a fork is included to make it easier to eat.
No. 3 Moist financier with burnt butter
This financier has a rich and savory flavor of burnt butter. The crispy, moist texture and slightly nutty flavor from the almond powder give it a real authentic taste. Coffee is good, but it makes me want to drink milk!
No.2 Puffy madeleines with fermented butter
They may be a little plain, but they are delicious! The madeleines are crispy in the mouth, but when you bite into them, they melt in your mouth. You can feel the richness of fermented butter. The lemon flavor that lingers in the mouth is also very elegant!
No. 1 Fruit pound cake with a hint of rum
This is so good! It is filled with candied fruits such as orange peel, lemon peel, raisins, and cherries.
No matter where you bite into it, you will be hit with the juicy sweetness of the fruit and the crunchy texture. It melts moistly, and the richness of the margarine and the mellow aroma of rum are softly spread over the top. You will want to pair it with coffee and of course, alcohol.
7-ELEVEN Cafe Baked Confectionery: 6th place and belowLet me just say that all of the baked goods that didn't make it to the top five were delicious. Here they are in order of my personal favorites. Just FYI!
Savory Cereal & Milky Chocolat Sugar Butter Tree
A collaboration with "Silver Grape". White chocolate is sandwiched between crunchy rye cereal dough.
One would expect the dough to be a bit rough, but it is surprisingly dense and satisfying. The milky richness of the white chocolate spreads with just the right amount of sweetness. The dough's simplicity and the richness of the chocolat are well balanced!
Raisin sandwich with rich cream
Crispy and savory cookies, smooth and sticky cream, and squishy and juicy raisins are a perfect match. The generous amount of raisins and the aroma of the wine make for a quality snack time.
Compared to Rokkatei's butter sandwiches, it may be a bit lighter. The cream is also surprisingly light. Contains 1.1% alcohol.
Chocolate Chip Cookie
These large cookies are more moist than crispy, with a texture similar to country marmalade. No matter where you eat it, you will be satisfied with the large chocolate chips that fill your mouth.
The bitter chocolate and the subtle saltiness of the cookie dough are a perfect match, and the more you chew, the more you become addicted to the taste.
Macadamia Nut Caramel Cookie
The texture is moist, soft and fluffy. The savory taste of the nuts and the crunchy texture accentuate the texture.
The dough is salty and not too sweet. It may be a unique taste. We recommend these cookies for adult women. The flavor is not too strong, so they are perfect as a snack or with drinks.
Belgian waffle with a crunchy texture
Personally, I recommend toast! You will enjoy the crispy texture, the fluffy moist mouthfeel, and the crunchy sugar.
The richness of the egg and buttery flavor spreads in a well-balanced deliciousness. It is recommended not only as a snack but also for breakfast.
Macadamia cookies filled with nuts
These cookies are quite refreshing, with a hint of saltiness and a low level of sweetness. The richness and savory flavor of the macadamia nuts are enhanced by the simplicity of the dough. Goes well with black coffee. I would have liked a little more butteriness.
The surface is moist with powdered sugar, and the almond balls melt in your mouth when you bite into them. The crunchy texture and the fragrance of the nuts fill your mouth.
Personally, I would be happy if the surface was covered with a thicker, fluffier layer of powdered sugar!
Softly baked baumkuchen
It is "normal" for better or worse. A baum from a pastry store that is easy to eat and has no peculiarities. The fluffy mouth feel, the texture of the dusty layers, and the buttery flavor that spreads moistly are well balanced!
Chocolate Chip Scone
It's filled with large chocolate chunks and is very satisfying! The dough is also soft and fluffy, and you will want to eat it with milk. The dough is not too sweet and the chocolate is bitter, so it would go well with a café latte or sweet drink!
