Echigo Seika "Funwari Meijin Kinako Mochi
Saeko in Nakameguro ("Saeko") Echigo Seika's "Funwari Meijin Kinako Mochi" is a confectionery.Konzaki I sometimes see it at the supermarket. The first time I tried it, I was surprised at how good it was!
Saeko The dough is made of Japanese glutinous rice and covered with soybean flour mixed with sugar. Why is it so delicious?
Konzaki First of all, the mouth feel is superb. When you bite into the crispy surface, it crumbles and disappears in a flash!
Saeko The mouthfeel is so fleeting that it makes you think, "Did I really just eat that? It's so fragile that it makes you wonder, "Did I really just eat that? Airy and very delicate!
Konzaki Kinako mochi (soybean flour cake) is more like powdered snow. Or a fleeting memory of a fading love.
Saeko I'm not going to go into the memories of love, but I'm sure that the fluffy texture lives up to the name of "fluffy master. In a good sense, there is no powdery taste peculiar to kinako, and I like the fact that I don't get choked even if I keep eating it.
Konzaki I also like the fact that the kinako on the surface is a bit sparse. Isn't it nice when it hits a place where the taste is strong?
Saeko I know what you mean. It's not sweet and salty all over, but there are some "salty points" here and there, so it's more than just a little bit of a drag.
Konzaki There are 6 bags, but before you know it, they're all gone!
Saeko There's a certain kind of kinako mochi (laughs). As long as it's in front of me, I keep eating it.
Konzaki : You can only experience this delicate mouth-feel and nanako deliciousness with "Funwari Meijin Kinako Mochi"!
Saeko I've eaten many kinds of sweets, but this one is truly unique. I want to leave it to posterity.
Konzaki I personally want to eat it with my grandchildren.
Saeko I'm not so fastidious. Even if you're not with your grandkids, if you've never had it, you gotta try it!
Konzaki It's also great as a tea snack. It goes great with chilled matcha green tea, so please try it together!
