Do you know the "R-za Dokushokan", which is quietly located about a 5-minute walk from Koenji Station? It is an unusual cafe where talking inside the store is prohibited in order to provide a "space for enjoying silence".

When you gently open the door, you will find a secret base space as if you were sneaking into the attic. All you can hear is the sound of water in the aquarium, the sound of making tea, the sound of turning the pages of a book, and the sound of a pen running. It's quieter than the library's study room ...


I headed for the afternoon on weekdays, but the store was almost full. I sat down because there was a seat on the far left that seemed to settle down. There is an aquarium in front of you. There is almost only one space. It's hard to say that it's comfortable to sit on, but it's a relaxing space for those who like corners and narrow spaces.

Letter set

As I flipped through the menu, I found a rare set called the "letter set (1,000 yen including tax)". It is said that your favorite drink will come with a letter set, stamps, a dip pen set, a set of sealing sets, and a post-mailing service. I ordered the shop owner in a whisper. I tried Pu'er tea as a drink.



While waiting for the drink to arrive, I decided to take a look around the store. The sound of the floor squeaking every time you walk is noticeable, so take a little care to take a step forward. There were a lot of interesting items such as fashionable accessories, retro miscellaneous goods, and books of various genres with seasons.







When I returned to my seat, Pu'er tea arrived. At the same time, I was told to choose a letter set and stamps, so I selected the one I liked from the show window at the back of the store.


At a small table, prepare the dip pen while reading the instructions. The familiar quill, delicate glass pens, scented ink, sealing stamps, and all the tools you need to write a letter.


Although it comes with instructions, it may take some time for unfamiliar people to get used to the pen preparation and writing comfort (and I'm pretty nervous because it doesn't make a lot of noise).













The Pu'er tea you received comes with a bottle of hot water as a substitute, so you can enjoy a considerable amount. When I was drinking tea vaguely while looking at the beautiful aquarium, I felt that my shoulders were getting weaker.


In addition, the small notebooks and notepads in the drawers are filled with the comments of customers who have come so far. It's quite interesting to follow the movements of the hearts of people who don't even know their faces, so it's recommended to read them back.
