Wine brewed at "Trump Winery"
Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 (left) and Chardonnay 2016 (right)

Prior to the arrival of US President Donald Trump in Japan, wine brewed at the "Trump Winery" owned by the Trump family was released on November 3rd by "GT", an authorized Virginia wine distributor. It is sold at department stores, high-end supermarkets, and mail-order sites nationwide.

Two types were imported this time, "Cabernet Sauvignon 2015" and "Chardonnay 2016". Both are Virginia wines that will land for the first time in Japan, and are valuable because they can only be enjoyed at the Trump Hotel and directly managed restaurants. It is difficult to obtain even in the home country of the United States.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 is a balanced, silky, full-bodied red wine with aromas of plums, blackberries, toffees, dark chocolate and dark fruits. Combine with steak, lean meat, hard cheese, etc.

Chardonnay 2016, on the other hand, is a fresh, creamy 100% Chardonnay white wine with a rich aroma of lemon, orange blossom and white peach. It is said that it features a body with increased complexity because it is partially aged in barrels. It goes well with roast chicken, salads, fresh seafood, and cream sauce. He has won the Bronze Award at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.

The price is 9,500 yen (excluding tax).
