I went to Komeda's koppe-pan specialty store

Komeda Coffee's Koppe-pan specialty store "Soft Shirokoppe" has opened on the 2nd floor of Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi for a limited time until January 8, 2018 (To go only).

Here, Komeda's homemade "white koppe-pan" is sold with a variety of ingredients, from sweets to side dishes. A total of 20 types are available, including plain type koppe-pan that does not sandwich anything and seasonal products. They are lined up in the showcase.

◆ I tried 4 popular kinds!

The most popular one is "Ogura Margarine" (250 yen). Koppe-pan with plenty of bean paste and margarine sandwiched between them.

Ogura Margarine

The bread is moist and fluffy . There is an image that koppe-pan is a little dry, but this is the exact opposite. The dough is fine and melts in your mouth, and when you tear it, it has a firm pull. The more you chew, the slightly sweeter the wheat is, the taste that seems to go well with any ingredients.

Fluffy and moist! Koppe-pan with a nice mouthfeel

Speaking of Komeda! Ogura Margarine. The moderate saltiness of the smooth margarine enhances the sweetness of azuki beans. This is already a classic taste.

It ’s good.

Another popular Western-style coppe for sweets is "cookies & vanilla cream" (250 yen). The crunchy texture of the cookie gave the impression that it was "different from the others" and had an impact.

Cookies & vanilla

The mellow sweetness of vanilla and the bittersweetness of cocoa cookies go well with fluffy and moist bread. This was the most unstoppable koppe-pan I ate this time because of my appetite.

It was so delicious that I couldn't stop

The most popular side dish-based koppe is "pork egg" (390 yen). Koppe-pan with 3 slices of pork luncheon meat (so-called "spam") and plenty of egg salad. With mustard mayonnaise.

There are 3 slices of pork in it

Moist coppe, plump pork, plump white meat, and soft yolk texture quartet! The slightly junky umami and saltiness of pork, the richness of mellow eggs and mayonnaise spread. The mustard had a hidden taste, and I hardly felt the spiciness.

It ’s good that it ’s not just ham.

Finally, from another side dish, "Tuna Potato Salad" (360 yen), which uses the same potato salad as the Komeda store. It also contains chopped onions and carrots.

Tuna Potesara

The umami that oozes from the tuna and the potatoes of Hokuhoku give you a perfect meal! The moderate saltiness and richness of the mayonnaise put the tuna and potato salad together in good condition.

It's delicious, but overall it's smooth

Other flavors I was interested in were "Matcha cream" (220 yen), which is said to be sweet, "Peanuts with grains" (250 yen), which is popular among sweets, and "Kumamoto" for a limited time until the end of October. Prefectural Japanese chestnut cream "(280 yen), etc. It seems that a new seasonal koppe-pan will be released from November, so you can expect this too!

It's fun to look at the showcase and worry about it!
